My name is Nadine Suzanne and I am a self confessed sand casting addict! I absolutely love sand casting! and I know it can be really frustrating opening the mould to see stones not in the right place, incomplete casts and not knowing exactly how to clean up the final piece without loosing all the gorgeous texture! I spent a good 6 months just trying to create a basic ring! There was no online course or mentors I could reach out to and ask what's going wrong, so I literally just taught myself everything I know today and went through the pain of trail and error. After posting lots of process videos on social media I had a lot off people reaching out about how to successfully fully cast this is what led me to teaching face to face workshops followed by online live/ 1:1 sessions for people overseas and now a prerecorded version that can be downloaded at any time. If there was a course like this available 6 years ago it would have definitely saved me a lot of time and money.
I have spent years researching and using every tool possible from expensive versions to knock off versions. I am a big believer in buying the cheaper alternative or making it myself, however, there are just some tools that are not worth buying 6 versions of when you could just invest once in the more expensive version.
I will also add, this is just my way to sand cast, my success rate for casts is pretty high with 99% of them not failing. I encourage people to learn from many people that way you can pick up as many tips and tricks as possible and create your own way of sand casting.
Be warned sand casting is addictive I went into making jewellery to create more 'traditional' pieces and now I cant get enough of the rough organic look of sand cast pieces.
Below is the basic out line of the online course I still have editing to do and I will also be adding in some of the process videos from my social media, so that you can see the process. I am really not 'tech savvy' so completing this course was quite an achievement and I hope it helps you on your sand casting journey!

The reason I am not including these techniques is because some people want to just learn sand casting and may already know how to carve wax, solder and set stones. These will be separate courses in the future.
Stone setting is also a more advanced technique that requires specialised tools and prior knowledge.
I will not be demonstrating how to replicate my designs or signature pieces. This course is designed to show you sand casting techniques and what is possible. This is the fundamentals of sand casting and you should be able to walk away with how to apply these techniques in your designs.
